Lots of New Products and Photo's to Share!!

Hello Everyone! As it has been over six months since my last post I have got lots of new earrings, book covers and cards that I am excited about showing you.

First of all I'd like to apologise to anyone who has been checking in on my blog and were disappointed to not see any new stuff. It seems that along with life in general and a few things going on I have also been rather slack with the computer side of my business. However, during this time I have still been doing the hands-on making stuff part which means that I can at least update you on the last few months. (Better late than never, right)?!

My pre-Christmas markets proved to be very exciting and rewarding for my business. Lawson Magpie Markets is really fantastic for me, I seem to do better and better each time I go. I am now a permanent at this market and you can find me next to the plant guy on the court/quad. While there are road works nearby and renovations going on at the school, do not let this stop you from coming to check out the great range of plants, fruit & veggie's, pre-loved clothes, vintage & retro clothes and household goods, and so much more.

These are my new earrings! I'm very happy with them. I especially like the black beads mixed with the rainbow beads and also the black beads mixed with the silver butterflies!! I am going to make more soon in the same designs but in different colours including gold butterflies so stayed tuned! :)

Unfortunately some of the photo's are a bit blurry again. I think I will be going back to my other phone, at least for the camera, as it was better quality. So, better pic's next time.

More Book Covers

Here are my new book covers. From now on I will have 5 regular sizes - A4 notebook/diary/art book, A5 notebook/diary/art book, slim diary, small art book and Address book (smaller than A5. No pic's yet). For any other sizes please enquire via phone or email and give me the measurements. They all open slightly different some have studs or buttons and a new one which I'll continue to use is elastic which you pull over to the front to open (so that it is on the back when it is closed).

New Earrings

Here are some new earrings I made. Some of them have a bead or Swarovski crystal on them and those one's are $6 a pair where as all the other pairs are $5 each. My favourite are the fairies with the Swarovski crystal!!

You may have seen the leaf earrings before but I made more of these because they were popular and, well, I wanted a pair for myself! There a few designs of the same earrings also but you may notice they are available in silver and gold and also in copper (no picture's of the copper one's yet though).Also if you want a different colour bead or crystal just let me know and I can work something out for you.

Wedding Invites

I am making some wedding invitations for my fiance's mum. They are not finished yet but I wanted to show you the three designs I have got for now as this is something I would like to do more of in the future.

Diary/Notebook covers

I'm very excited about these as they are getting more and more popular. Here are my most recent one's which were made for order's. The pink fur one is a slim diary and the light purple one is an art book. I am now making the covers for diary's, art books, lined notebooks, address books, etc. I also had a request for a small bible so of course just give me the measurements for any book and I'll see what I can do!

Changes to Blog

Hi there!! Those of you who have seen my blog before might notice some slight!! changes. My friend told me about a website to get cool backgrounds as I wanted my blog to look more exciting and inviting! I couldn't find it on the net as she had remembered it differently to what it was (and since told me the correct name) but I found it on Paper Makeup (one of the blogs I'm following) and I just wanted to share it with my fellow bloggers!! So it's called Cutest Blog on the Block and another one has been recommended to me called Aqua Poppy Designs. So if you too are a blogger, be sure to check them out!! :)

Wow! So it's been a while since my last post. (Oops!)

Easter went really well for me. I made some good sales at both my markets despite the fact that there was a festival on in Springwood the same day as the market. Here are some more Easter cards I made...

I have a few orders to keep me busy till the end of May at least, one being from a customer which I saw back in February at Leura who emailed me to place an order! It was so fantastic to hear from someone two months after I had seen them!! I have also made a couple of engagement and wedding cards for friends in the past few months and have an order to make some wedding invites and matching place cards.

I added these Swarovski crystals to the salad servers for an engagement present. I got the idea from a Better Homes & Gardens episode which was on last year in November.

I will start working on engagement and wedding cards to add to my collection so they will be regularly available at both my markets.

Of course, with Mother's day this Sunday, I have been busy making cards for that too. I am selling some at a florist in Penrith called 'Flowers to Amaze' so hopefully they will go well there and I will continue to sell with them.

I really love the one's with the metal embellishments on them! I will definitely be using them again.

Here are some orders I've made recently...

My cousins 21st birthday card and address book with dragon applique cover. (I'm so happy with how this one turned out!!)

Order for someone's 50th birthday. After making this card the customer has encouraged me to take up calligraphy to help personalise my cards and gifts with peoples name's and/or special words.

Jewellery is always popular so I thought I'd make some and see how it goes. I didn't want anything too fiddly though so just something cute and simple.

They are all packaged in a small snaplock bag as shown here and cost just $5 a pair.

This one with the cowboy boots is mine. Just to show you that you can have any theme you like. It's made with quilters fabric which comes in a great range of prints, eg. horses, dogs, cats, stars, paisley, you name it and I'm sure I'll be able to find it.

As this one has a lot more detail (corners and fringing, etc) it would cost $35 including the A4 diary.

My apologies to those of you who I told that pictures of this product would be on my blog sooner.

Small Cards

These are some of the small cards I made for Valentine's Day. They all have a chocolate heart inside as shown in the first two pictures.

The cute little boy and girl photo' s came from the back of an old calendar and these cards were particularly popular.

At only $3 each these were a real hit at local shops in Penrith and Springwood!

I am going to make more of these cards with various themes (not just love or valentine's day theme) and put chocolates, tea bags and coffee bags in them.

They will be available starting from the next Springwood market on March 14th.

I also made 25 of these cards as the favors/bonbonerie's for a friend's wedding. Instead of the chocolates I had suggested he might like to put a photo of him and his fiancée inside the card. He also gave me some quotes to type up and stick into the right hand side of the inside of the card.

I wanted an elegant look for these cards so I used a lot of the embossing technique and dazzling diamonds glitter from Stampin' Up! I also used a lot of brads to complete the look.

I would really like to make more wedding cards, favors or invitations for weddings with a maximum of 50 people. If you are interested in ordering for your own wedding, a wedding card for a friends wedding/engagement or any other event please email me to place an order.

Valentine's Day

Hi there! Well it's just over two weeks till Valentine's Day! Here are some of the gorgeous cards you'll find at my up-coming markets...

These one's are small square cards (approx. 10 x 10 cm) tied together at the side with ribbon.

Inside they will have a quote on one side and a chocolate heart or chocolate mint on the other. They will not have the mentos as shown in the picture! (unless of course you want the mentos!)

This is a cute affordable gift for your love. Only $3 each!

These are the regular cards and large square cards. There will be more to come. Some of them could be used as a card for your special person for any occasion and some can even be used as engagement/wedding cards.

Let me know if you are interested in handmade wedding invitations, thank you notes, bonbonerie, name tags for the table, etc. I really want this to become a part of my business but will start with small weddings, orders of 50 max.

Happy New Year! Great new products!!

Hi there fellow blogger's!! I hope everyone had a happy and safe Christmas!
As it has been over a month since my last post I have lots of new picture's. (I'd like to mention that I am not a photographer and, though I do try, my photo's are not always of the best quality. So please don't judge my products by the photo's as they look much better in real life.)
The markets have been a little quieter than I had imagined when I first started my business. Some of this is due to the current financial circumstances which the majority of people are experiencing and some of it is due to my choices of markets which I have attended. However, poor choice of markets was only discovered by giving them a go in the first place.
This year I will continue at Springwood Community Ivy Markets on the second Saturday of each month and I also plan to start at Windsor Mall Markets every Sunday but this will depend on when I get a gazebo as it is outdoors. In the mean time I will attend some other indoor markets in the mountains. (I will put a note of which markets on my blog.) I went to Leura Public School markets on Sunday the 4th (first Sunday of each month) and apparently it was the quietest day they had seen in a long time but even for a quiet day there was enough people there to make me want to go back and see how busy it can get! So if you're looking for something to do on the weekends why not check out your local (or even not so local) markets. Leura Public School markets was great! Lots of stalls, both inside and out, so it's a great day out rain or shine.

Another new product which I'd like to make many more of, shadow box frame. Price - $20
I got these butterflies from a "Things to see in Canberra" catalogue. There was so many of them that I made these gorgeous box frames and some great cards too. I chopped the butterflies out of the magazine and then stuck them on to cardstock so that they would be thicker and the back of them would be a plain colour rather than writing and pictures. Finally, I cut each one out neatly and individually. This took quite some time!!

Cards made to order

Here are some cards I made to order. This cute train card was for a boy's first birthday.

This is another one I made for the boy first birthday. I made 5 cards for the customer. He only bought 2 of them but because they didn't have a name or anything specific on them I can just add the others to my collection. It's hard to see from the picture but the hat, nose and accordion are raised with foam squares, like paper tole but only one layer.

This is another paper tole style card. The flower, clock and balloon are raised with foam squares.

More first birthday boy cards.

My mum asked me to make this one. She said she wanted something bright and colourful.

This was my first order for someone other than a friend or family member. I mailed it to the customer but didn't hear from her so I hope she was happy with it. She asked for a mauve coloured card for her niece's 18th birthday and told me she played piano. I think it turned out well!!

I made this cute one for my sister's birthday in November. The flowers are raised with foam squares.

Christmas Photo Frames

These are some Christmas decorations I made from chipboard. I bought them from the Stampin' Up! Mini Spring Catalogue. If they have a metallic painted colour on the front then they have a Christmas print on the back and if they have a Christmas print on the front then they have a metallic painted colour on the back. I took a picture of the front and back of the decorations if the back has a Christmas print.

I was selling these for $8 but then re-priced them for $6. I made a picture to go in the frames using Stampin' Up! stamps and added a little tab at the top with sticky tape so that the picture can be pulled out easily. People can replace the picture I have put in there and put a picture or photo of their choice and use my one as a template.

Here are some of my Christmas cards I made recently.

The prices are as follows:
A6/Regular Cards - $5 each
2 for $9
5 for $20
Large square cards - $6 each
2 for $11
5 for $25

All the envelopes are stamped as well with enough space left to write an address if you are sending the card in the mail.

Most of the cards have stamped messages inside.

Each card is packaged in a cello bag with the matching envelope. If you want it mailed to you then it will be put into another envelope for postage.
